The Brownface-era Fender Pro amp delivers a bold and powerful sonic presence, packing 40 watts of output through a 15" speaker. This particular example is fitted with an orange-frame JBL D130F—widely regarded as one of the finest 15" speakers ever made.
Internally, the power cord and electrolytic caps have been replaced, along with two coupling caps in the tremolo circuit to maintain functionality. Fortunately, the rest of the coupling caps are the coveted "Blue Molded" Ajax types, contributing to that signature 60's Fender tone. The screen grid resistors have also been replaced, and 1-ohm resistors were added to the power tube cathodes for easy bias readings.
The output transformer has been replaced with an unmarked vintage unit labeled "044," which, despite the swap, sounds fantastic. This amp remains in excellent shape and continues to deliver that legendary Brownface tone! The buyer should note the circuit is in fact a 6G5-A, though the tube chart labels it as "6G5" - which very common for vintage Fenders.
