The Vibro-Champ has grown to become one of the most sought-after Blackface-era amplifiers. This ever-charming small-format amp is equally at home in the bedroom or miked up on the stage of a coliseum. Not to mention, it features one of the deepest and most musical tremolo sounds in the entire Blackface lineup—especially this one. Cosmetically, it appears to be in very good condition, showing only minor signs of previous wear.

Internally, the power cord has been replaced, and the preamp electrolytics have been updated, though the main filter caps remain original. A handful of resistors have been swapped for modern equivalents, along with one ceramic coupling cap—please see the circuit photos for further details. The original speaker has been replaced with a modern Jensen Alnico P8R.

Despite being fully functional the buyer should note this amp has long expired filter capacitors. While many amps are run this way for years without issue, anyone planning on prolonged or regular gigging use would be advised to have it serviced.
*When using Affirm, we charge an additional 3.5% fee on the total at checkout. The majority of our instruments are consignment, where CVG keeps a small percentage of each sale. To be able to cover the additional costs required to offer financing, we have to include a higher fee to the customer. The 3.5% fee will be included in and spread across your Affirm payments.
