This is one of two Deluxe Reverb “stacks” we’re offering that were previously part of a stereo live guitar rig.
Completed in March of 1964, this amp features pre-CBS “Fender Electric Instrument Co.” badging on both the front and back panels. Many consider this period to be the golden era for mid-’60s Fender amps, just before the CBS takeover brought noticeable changes to parts and circuitry. The original speaker has been swapped for Vox Silver Bell Celestion T1656 (25w) from 1969, and a matching one resides in the extension cabinet. It comes in great condition, with only minor signs of previous wear. The front baffle has been swapped to a four-bolt design to accommodate the Celestion, and the original baffle is available upon request.
Aside from a replaced power cord and screen grid resistors, the amp is entirely original. Despite being fully functional the buyer should note this amp has long expired filter capacitors. While many amps are run this way for years without issue, anyone planning on prolonged or regular gigging use would be advised to have it serviced. Two studio slip clamshell covers are also included.
