Most people have never seen a Brownface-era Vibrolux—and frankly, we at Carter Vintage have only come across a handful in the past 12 years! The 6G11-A circuit leans more toward the sound of the 6G3 Brown Deluxe than its larger 2x6L6 counterparts. Simply put, the single 12", 35-watt format is a perfect fit for this era of Vibrolux, carrying over into the Blackface non-reverb models. And as you might expect, the tremolo is fantastic as well.

Internally, the amp remains largely original, with a replaced power cord and updated electrolytic caps. The screen grid resistors have been replaced, and the bias resistor was changed to properly set the output tube bias. Grid stopper resistors were also added to the power tubes. Otherwise, the preamp remains all original, including the coveted Allen-Bradley resistors, and Blue Molded Ajax coupling capacitors.

Overall, this amp is in fabulous condition for it's age, showing minimal signs of previous wear. Whether you're a collector or a player, this is an exceptional example that delivers in every respect, combining rarity, originality, and phenomenal tone into one stellar package!

The buyer should note that this amp retains its original speaker cone, which may be fragile due to age and could be prone to separating from the voice coil.
