This is a Super-b example of a 1966 Fender Super Reverb, and is about as clean as amps get before being called mint! To round out the collectibility it also comes with the original cover and footswitch, along with the catalog.
The Super Reverb is one of Fender’s most iconic Blackface-era amps. While the earlier Brownface and Tweed versions featured a 2x10 format, the move to a 4x10 configuration brought it closer in spirit to the legendary ’50s Bassman, complete with a beefy output transformer to match.
Internally, the failing filter caps have been swapped, but it is otherwise all original. The stock caps are included with the amp. Although fully functional it should be noted that this amp still has original electrolytics and 2-prong power cord. While many amps are run this way for years without issue, anyone planning on prolonged or regular gigging use would be advised to have it serviced.
