This 1962 Tremolux has a charming aged vintage look, with an incredible sound to match. It features the desirable 6G9-B circuit, widely regarded as the most sought-after revision of the early-'60s Tremolux. The original power transformer has been replaced with an OEM 1970 Vibrolux transformer, whose voltages closely match the original, preserving the amp's unique character and tone. Another great feature is its pair of mid-'50s Jensen Alnico P10T speakers, which deliver wonderful vintage-style compression when pushed.
Internally, the amp remains largely original, with a replaced power cord and updated electrolytic capacitors for reliable modern use. The screen grid resistors have been replaced, the bias resistor has been changed to properly set the output tube bias, and grid stopper resistors have been added to the power tubes for improved stability. Otherwise, the preamp remains original, retaining its coveted Allen-Bradley resistors and Blue Molded Ajax coupling capacitors. Altogether, this is a wonderful vintage example that captures the signature sound and deep tremolo of the Blonde era!
