This tried-and-true classic is an excellent choice when you need a big, full clean sound. This particular example has held up remarkably well for its age, showing only minor signs of previous wear, with just a couple of small scrapes on the top and side. A neat feature about this particular amp is the presence of factory Jensen speakers, which are far less common than the Oxfords typically found in these amps. The C8261 was Jensen's OEM version of the C12N, offering the same robust 50-watt construction and bold, articulate sound. The reverb tank has been replaced, though it still delivers the lush Fender reverb these amps are known for.
Internally, the power cord and electrolytic caps have been replaced, along with the power and screen grid resistors. Otherwise, the preamp remains original, including the coveted Allen-Bradley resistors and Blue Molded Ajax coupling capacitors. Overall, this is a wonderfully preserved example that delivers everything you'd hope for from a vintage Twin Reverb.
