The Super Reverb is one of Fender’s most iconic Blackface-era amps. While earlier Brownface and Tweed versions featured a 2x10 format, the move to a 4x10 configuration brought it closer in spirit to the legendary ’50s Bassman. This particular amp shows moderate signs of previous wear, with signs of prolonged storage, mostly isolated to the rear of the amp.
Internally, the power cord and electrolytic caps have been replaced. Two coupling caps have also been changed, along with a handful of resistors updated to modern carbon-film equivalents—please see the circuit photos specs section for further details. Otherwise, the preamp remains largely original, including the coveted Blue Molded Ajax coupling caps. Overall, this is a solid player-grade piece with a great sound to match!
