Fender Deluxe Amp 5E3 1959, Tweed

t's hard not to look at the 5E3 Deluxe with fondness, given its profound impact on guitar players over the past 70 years. Sometimes, a Tweed Deluxe is all you need—even if that means filling a stage with them... just ask Neil Young!

This amp has remained in fantastic shape over the years, showing only minor signs of wear and some beautiful aging on the lacquered tweed. The 5E3 amps typically have a Triad 50246/246 output transformer, and while this one has been replaced, it’s with another Triad from the same era. The model is S-19Z, which isn’t well documented, but was likely ordered from a Triad catalog. Thankfully, it does great justice to the original 50246, and the amp sounds excellent! The original handle and feet have also been replaced.

Internally, the power cord and electrolytic caps have been changed, but it is otherwise all original.

The buyer should note this amp has an original speaker cone, which could be fragile and prone to separating from the voice coil.
