The secret is out on Brown Deluxes, and over the past few years they have gained significant popularity in the vintage amp world. One might think of them as the American equivalent of the 20W Marshall, sharing the same features, wattage, and overall tone quality. This one came to us in fantastic shape, with only minor signs of previous wear.
Internally, the power cord and electrolytic caps have been changed, along with the bias resistor. Otherwise all of the preamp components are still original, including the infamous Blue Molded Ajax caps, which are intrinsic to the 60's Fender sound. The power transformer was swapped for an OEM equivalent from 1979, and the voltages line up great with the original. The chassis was modified to help fit the changed transformer - see circuit pictures for further details.
