The Blackface Deluxe Reverb is held in legendary regard—especially in Nashville. It offers the perfect format for gigging, with an ideal balance of tone, size, and volume. This particular amp is in fantastic shape, showing only minor signs of previous wear and no significant blemishes to speak of. The original reverb tank was swapped for an OEM unit from the ’80s, which does great justice to the original sound.
Internally, the power cord, electrolytic caps, 2 power resistors, and the fuse holder have been replaced. Otherwise, the preamp remains entirely original, aside from an added cap to the tremolo optocoupler to prevent ticking. This means all of the Blue Molded Ajax coupling caps are still present, making this a premium example of a 1965 Deluxe Reverb!
