This Bassman was built in March of 1964, making it one of the last Blonde-era Bassman amps before Fender transitioned to the Blackface design.  Despite being mislabeled on the tube chart (very common for Fender) the circuit is in fact the 6G6-C, which many revere as the perfected version of this era's Bassman.

Cosmetically, it has a few small changes, including a gold-thread wheat-style grille cloth on both the head and cabinet, along with a replaced section of tolex on the top and back panel. The 2x12 cabinet has been modified into a semi-open-back design and is loaded with two modern Heritage Celestion G12H 30W speakers, made in England. This setup is likely an upgrade from stock, as the combination sounds particularly impressive.

Internally, the power cord has been replaced, and the electrolytic caps have been changed and rehoused in the original cardboard. A handful of resistors have been swapped for modern low-noise carbon film equivalents, along with a few ceramic caps. Please refer to the circuit pictures for further details. Fortunately, all of the original Blue Molded Ajax coupling caps remain intact, preserving that classic '60s Fender tone. Paired with its original Schumacher transformers, this is a fantastic player-grade amp!
