Description

The Fender Dual Showman is a powerful, great-value amp—essentially the head version of a Twin Reverb, minus the reverb. It features the full AB763 circuit and remains original where it counts, delivering a fantastic Blackface tone. This particular example also displays a custom paint job from the Bourbon Workshop.

Internally, the electrolytic caps have been replaced, along with the power tube screen grid resistors and grid stoppers. Two caps in the tremolo section have also been swapped to ensure proper functionality. Otherwise, the preamp remains original, including all of the coveted “Blue Molded” Ajax caps that are intrinsic to the Blackface sound. The original speakers have been replaced with Celestion Vintage 30s, which pair very well with this head.
