This D-28 has lived a full life, but there is still more music to be made. Despite some significant wear, damage, and modifications, it is still a pre-war herringbone D-28 in sound and playability. This one sounds particularly sweet when you pick it gently, but it can still live up to its bluegrass heritage when flatpicked.
It has evidence of smoke damage, and repairs include: Neck reset (was set low on bass side), Replaced bridge plate, two spruce patches each on treble and bass side of X brace, 3 cleats to rear of sound hole, long rectangular patch underneath fretboard overhang, 5 repaired top cracks from bridge to back, two repaired top cracks on either side of fretboard overhang, repaired crack to bass side, refinish, overspray.
Comes with a Calton case.
