This 1944 D-18 is a beautifully preserved wartime Martin, carrying the kind of finish checking and honest wear that only eight decades can create. It’s had a few expected updates for a guitar of this age—including a replaced bridge, frets, and nut—and the back of the headstock appears to have been lightly oversprayed, along with a handful of routine structural touch-ups. What stands out most, though, is how incredibly well it plays and responds. The tone is so immersive and the feel so natural that you stop thinking about the guitar entirely and just listen to the music coming out of it. That kind of connection doesn’t happen often, and it’s a clear sign you’re holding something truly exceptional. Comes with a HSC.
