Description

This 1947 Martin D-18 has beautifully aged with the warm, open voice that has made these post-war instruments so highly sought after. It has a rich, responsive midrange with complex overtones that seem to emerge effortlessly, producing an exceptionally musical and balanced tone. Professionally maintained over the years, the guitar underwent a neck reset, new saddle installation (with the original saddle included in the case), replacement bridge, treble-side waist crack repair with color touch-up, and heel cap repair in 2009. It has also received a CVG compression refret, making it an outstanding player while preserving the character, tone, and vintage appeal expected from a fine 1947 D-18.
