This 1942 D-18 exudes bluegrass battle scars, with decades of wear
evident throughout - miles that have resulted in rich, unstoppable tone.
The top is very thin at this point, with light bracing, contributing to
its excellent tone. It's undergone a neck reset, yielding excellent
playability with plenty of saddle, and its perfectly carved "V" neck is a
perfect palm pairing. Repair-wise it has substantial finish wear
throughout with spots of touch up, several repaired cracks, a replaced
fingerboard and a repaired headstock. For a further in-depth look at its
full repair history, check out our specs tab.
An excellent wartime D-18 with endless mojo. Includes new Martin Geib-style case.
