ConditionMany scrapes and dings. Side crack repairs were done long ago and are not exactly imperceivable, although they do appear stable.
Tech NotesThe bridge was likely pre-made (not for this specific guitar), it is currently holding and serving its purpose, but would benefit from a custom through-saddle bridge in the future for vintage appeal and structural longevity
Form the pinnacle year of the C.F. Martin Co., this 1937 D-18 is a survivor with a ton of character from the past 89 years of play. Older repairs have kept it in playing condition and we have just given it a fret level and bridge plate plugs to keep it that way. This has the wider (1 3/4 nut width), Adirondack top, and forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing that many builders believe is the best combination a dreadnaught can have; 1937 is the final full year that you could check all three of those boxes, with changes in manufacturing.  This example is loud, but would also make a great candidate for further vintage correct work like installing a maple bridge plate and through-saddle bridge. We have fallen in love with it just the way it is, and think you will to.

Comes in modern Martin TKL Hardshell Case.
