Description

The Super Reverb is one of Fender’s most iconic Blackface-era amps. While the earlier Brownface and Tweed versions featured a 2x10 format, the move to a 4x10 configuration brought it closer in spirit to the legendary ’50s Bassman, complete with a beefy output transformer to match. This particular example shows light signs of previous wear, with a couple of small nicks in the grill cloth and tolex, but presents very well otherwise.

Internally, the power cord and filter caps have been replaced. The power tube screen grid and grid stopper resistors have also been replaced, along with the bias cap. Otherwise, the preamp remains largely original, including the coveted Blue Molded Ajax coupling caps - see circuit photo for further details. Overall, this is a solid vintage example with an excellent sound to match!
