Completed in February 1965, this amp features pre-CBS “Fender Electric Instrument Co.” badging on both the front and back panels, with all electronics dating to 1964. The original black-frame Oxford 12K5 speaker miraculously still maintains it's original cone, and sounds fantastic. Many consider this period to be the golden era for mid-’60s Fender amps, just before the CBS takeover brought noticeable changes to parts and circuitry.
Aside from a replaced power cord and filter caps, the amp is entirely original. Those original parts are included as well. While the amp shows some signs of long-term storage, it has very minimal playing wear—no major scuffs or tears in the covering. Overall, this is a stellar example from a legendary era, with a tone to match!
