Universally accepted as the favorite of the "mid-sized" Fender amps, the Vibrolux has a distinct quality that makes it stand out. With a 35-watt 6L6 power section, it can keep up with the band without the added size and weight of larger models. This amp is in superb condition for its age, with only minor signs of previous wear, including a couple of ancient cigarette burns on the top (the amp does not smell like smoke, thankfully).
The power cord has been changed, and the electrolytic caps have been swapped and rehoused inside their original cardboard. All of the plate resistors have been replaced with modern carbon comp equivalents. Thankfully, all of the original "Blue Molded" coupling caps are still present, keeping that vintage blackface sound well intact. A neat feature about this amp is the original Jensen C8424 ceramic speakers, which are equivalent to the C10P. Compared to the smaller J & K rated Oxfords, these have bigger magnets, thus much better power handling, and many prefer the sound of the Jensens during this era.
