The Blackface Deluxe Reverb is held in legendary regard, especially in Nashville. It has the perfect format for gigging, with an ideal combination of tone, size, and volume. The power transformer has been swapped for a modern equivalent, though it does a great job matching the voltages of the vintage units. The upper back panel has been replaced as well.
Internally, the power cord and electrolytic caps have been replaced, along with the screen grid resistors. Most of the ceramic caps have been swapped for modern equivalents, and the normal channel tone stack caps have been changed to .022uf. Otherwise all of the Blue Molded Ajax coupling caps are still present, along with the original resistors. The intensity pot has also been replaced. Please refer to the circuit pictures for further details. The speaker is a modern Fender-labeled Eminence, which all translates into a great sounding amp!
