While it may not be mentioned as often as other similarly sized Fenders, the blonde-era Bandmaster is a fantastic sounding amp. Its tone is not far removed from the 6G6-A Bassman, and it features that wonderful harmonic tremolo we all love. This example has received a high-quality re-cover on the original cabinet, and the back panel has been replaced. The original tube chart inside reads 6G7, but it has been confirmed as a 6G7-A.

Internally, the power cord and electrolytic caps have been replaced, along with the screen grid resistors. The rest of the preamp appears to be all original, including mismatched caps on the phase inverter—uncommon, but not unheard of when parts ran short and production needed to continue. See the circuit photos for further details.
