The 5E3 Tweed Deluxe is the quintessential embodiment of 1950s-era Fender tone. Many builders have tried to reproduce this design over the years, but none truly capture the magic like the original amps with Triad transformers. This American workhorse shows moderate to heavy signs of use, with deep oxidation on the metal parts—details that only add to the charm of a well-loved Tweed amp.
The original speaker has been replaced with an unknown silver-frame ceramic from the 1970s, which proves to be a surprisingly great match for this amp.
This amp has been serviced for modern use, with a replaced power cord and filter caps, along with one power resistor. The handle and fuse holder have been changed as well, but everything else is original.
