These are often considered the best value among Blackface era amps, and if you're willing to carry a bit of extra weight, the sound is well worth it. The Pro sits perfectly between the Deluxe and Twin Reverb, offering a larger sonic presence than the Deluxe without being too loud for smaller stages. Internally, it has a replaced power cord, electrolytic caps, and power resistors. The preamp plate and cathode resistors have also been replaced, likely due to excessive drift. Thankfully, all of the original "Blue Molded" Ajax coupling caps remain, preserving the Blackface sound. See circuit pics for further details. In terms of condition, the amp looks excellent with minimal signs of previous wear, aside from a couple of small indentations on the tolex. Overall, this is a fantastic deal on a great-sounding Blackface amp!
*When using Affirm, we charge an additional 3.5% fee on the total at checkout. The majority of our instruments are consignment, where CVG keeps a small percentage of each sale. To be able to cover the additional costs required to offer financing, we have to include a higher fee to the customer. The 3.5% fee will be included in and spread across your Affirm payments.
