There's a peculiar phenomenon in the vintage world where heavily worn pieces often produce a magnificent sound. This 1956 Tweed Deluxe does not fail to disappoint, and makes for an unbelievably good sounding player grade piece. Aside from the tweed fraying in certain spots, the top control panel has some pitting in the metal, making the controls a bit hard to see. So players might need to turn the knobs until it sounds good, as opposed to going off numbers. Otherwise the structure itself is still perfectly sound. Additionally, there's a burn mark on the top of the cabinet roughly the size and shape of a lime – a mark of character, to put it another way.
Internally, the power cord, electrolytic caps, and all coupling caps have been changed (for orange drops). About half of the resistors have been changed, with the rest being original carbon comp types.
