The Fender Dual Showman is a powerful and great-value amp—essentially a head version of a Fender Twin, minus the reverb. It features the full AB763 circuit and has remained original where it counts, delivering a fantastic Blackface sound. It shows moderate signs of previous wear but is still in very good condition.
Internally, the electrolytic caps have been replaced, along with the screen grid resistors and power tube grid stoppers. The coupling caps in the phase inverter were swapped for modern equivalents, as were three of the original ceramic caps. The preamp plate resistors were replaced with vintage carbon comp 1W types, closely resembling the originals. Thankfully, the rest of the original "Blue Molded" Ajax caps are still present. Please see the circuit photos for further details.
