The Super Reverb is an iconic Fender amp, spawning during the Blackface era, while also sharing DNA with the 4x10 Tweed Bassman amps. This particular example has held up well over the years, showing only minor signs of wear, with small blemishes on the sides and corners. The front grillcloth has been replaced, along with the upper back panel. The bottom of the cabinet also has a reinforced wood panel, likely added to accommodate casters, though none are currently installed. The handle was swapped as well.
Internally, the amp is mostly stock, other than a replaced power cord and electrolytic caps. One extra cap was installed on the tremolo optocoupler, to prevent ticking. Otherwise the preamp is all original, including the infamous "Blue Molded" Ajax coupling caps, intrinsic to the blackface sound. The power transformer was swapped for an OEM from 1972, but the rest are all original. See specs section for further details on speakers.
