The amp that started it all—the Princeton, Model 26 (Deluxe), and Professional (Pro)—were built from 1946 to 1947 in uncovered hardwood cabinets, earning their nickname the "Woodie." Production quantities during this era were extremely low, and there's a strong likelihood that each was wired by Leo Fender himself.

Their significance is unparalleled, predating the electric guitar and marking the genesis of Fender's legendary role in amplifier history.

While some Woodies exist today purely as relics, this amp has been fully serviced and remains highly functional—in fact, it sounds fantastic. The amp shows moderate wear consistent with age, but nothing beyond reasonable use. The original electrolytic and coupling caps have been replaced, as they had long since expired, though the originals are included with the amp. The speaker has been reconed, but is otherwise original, along with the transformers.

This listing is for the Princeton, and feel free to check out the Woodie Model 26 Deluxe we have as well!
*When using Affirm, we charge an additional 3.5% fee on the total at checkout. The majority of our instruments are consignment, where CVG keeps a small percentage of each sale. To be able to cover the additional costs required to offer financing, we have to include a higher fee to the customer. The 3.5% fee will be included in and spread across your Affirm payments.
