This Princeton has a fantastic sound and actually breaks up a bit when cranked, unlike most non-reverb Princetons. Overall, it showcases the full scope of the Fender Blackface tone and stands as a great example of the non-reverb Princeton. Compared to its reverb-equipped counterpart, you can expect a little less gain and more headroom, making it an excellent choice as a clean amp or pedal platform. It’s in fantastic shape, showing only minimal wear for an amp of this age.
Internally, the power cord and electrolytic caps have been replaced, along with one power resistor. One resistor was changed in the tremolo section as well. The original speaker lead was swapped, but it still retains the original Oxford 10J4 10" speaker. Otherwise, the rest of the amp remains completely original!
