Built during Paul Rivera’s tenure at Fender, the Princeton II presents a familiar formula with some added enhancements. It features the same tube layout, but with a solid state rectifier, and an upgraded 12" speaker, which many players prefer. The control panel includes added midrange and presence controls, a switchable lead channel, and a master volume. The lead tone is surprisingly strong and reminiscent of the Super Champ from the same era.
Some users may notice the reverb sound diminishing when used on the lead channel, though this is a normal condition for the amp.
Internally the amp is all original, aside from an upgraded Celestion G12H Heritage speaker. It’s in great condition, with only minor signs of previous wear.
