This legendary instrument from 1938 is a timestamp in history to show us just how wonderful the craftsman were in the earlier years. The guitar is loud and articulate. A natural compression is present in the guitar that makes the volume of every note stand out. Flatpicking really shines on this guitar because the dynamics are so impressive. Hard bass hits in combination with flourishing higher accents present the listener and the player with a balanced experience. It takes time, attention and age to reveal an instrument that performs and tells a story as impressively as this one. This particular example has seen some necessary repairs to give it a new life including a replacement bridge, neck reset, refinishing, and a replaced bridge plate. This incredible piece of music history plays incredibly well and comes with its original (recovered) case.
