This 1953 Mystery Top Martin D-28 is in incredibly clean condition, and one of the most desireable post-war Martins one can own. The D-28 was the top of the line for Martin in 1953. In 1953, during the Korean War, Martin purchased a large supply of Spruce that differed from its typical Sitka, but much like its pre-1946 supply. This Adirondack Spruce supply is reknown for its articulate presence, and this D-28 in particular is boomy. Only minor finish touch-ups and crack repairs, this is a very clean example and worth adding to the collection. Original bridge plate and structurally sound.

Comes in original hardshell Lifton case with material reinforcement on the corners.
