When it comes to acoustic guitars, few reach pinnacle grail status higher than an original Pre-war Martin D-18. The D-18 model, known as the workhorse of bluegrass music, is a well-designed instrument that features warm tone woods and subtle aesthetics. This 1937 example is in honest well-loved condition. A necessary neck reset was preformed on it: aswell as the replacement of bridge plate (still a thin maple). It doesn't get much cooler than the wear to the top. The bridge was replaced a few times, but the one currently on it was well made and fits the design specifications. The most notable repairs are to the rim where two 1" x 2" sections were patched with mahogany and then oversprayed. The work appears stable and overall gives it character. The sound is articulate and quite simply, a flat pickers dream.
Comes in modern Martin Hardshell case.
