This 1953 Martin D-18 features a spruce top paired with mahogany back and sides, providing the timeless tone wood combo featured on records of every genre. The guitar has received a neck reset, refret, replacement bridge, and replacement bone nut and saddle to maintain structural integrity and function. Additional repairs include two crack repairs at the treble-side waist, a side puncture repair on the lower bass bout rim with color touch-up, and a reglue of the bass-side X-brace. The bridge plate shows wood dust and glue fill at the pin holes, and a mahogany dowel is present in the end block from a previous electronics installation. Replacement tuners are currently installed, with the originals included in the case, and a strap button has been added.
Includes modern TKL hard shell case.
