CaseLate 60s Gibson SG soft case
Modifications/Repairs90s Gibson Zebra Burstbuckers in non-factory routes, Original Switch, '78 Volume Pots & '61 Tone Pots with original orange drop capacitors, Original Kluson Tuners reinstalled with replacement ferrules (light overspray around them to create level surface), low original frets, replacement pickguard and control cavity plate, replacemente strap buttons, nickel Gotoh tailpiece and studs, Tonepros ABR1, replacement switch tip, original nylon nut
Half the price of a '61 SG Standard, but without the trapazoid inlays, this modified '61 SG Special is a rock machine. The added nickel stoptail and ABR1 provide tuning accuracy not originally found on the wraptail design. The 90s burstbuckers sound incredible and look right at home with aged nickel covers. The original kluson tuners have been reinstalled, keeping the overall modifications of this guitar based in 1960s aesthetics. If you are looking for a player at the fraction of a price of a Standard, and no history of an all too common neck or heel crack, this a killer way to go!
Comes in late 60s Gibson soft case.
