This 2022 Gibson Custom Shop '61 SG captures the sharp lines and light feel of an original early '60s example, finished in a classic cherry red that’s hard to mistake. The slim mahogany body and fast neck profile stay true to the period-correct specs, offering the kind of balance and resonance that defined the model’s early years. Dual Custombuckers deliver a clear, articulate voice with just the right amount of midrange push. Small details—like the narrow beveling and vintage-style hardware—round out a build that leans heavily on historical accuracy. This instrument remains in spectacular condition and a simple, elegant machine. Comes with its original hard case.
