1958 Gibson Les Paul Custom, aka: the, "Black Beauty." This one is in very good condition with an old professionally done, hard to see without a blacklight, headstock crack repair. The guitar was recently refretted here at Carter Vintage and it plays like a hot knife through butter. The weight's good at 9.2 pounds and it has a wonderful rather large neck. Ever see that Led Zep movie where they're playing at Royal Albert Hall? You know, the concert film where JP plays his burst thru most of the show until the encore, Eddie Cochran's "C'mon Everybody" where he switches to a Black Beauty. Watch that clip and notice how absolutely killer his tone is compared to his sound with the burst. Some killer tone can be had with a Custom. This guitar is ready to rock and it comes in its original black hardshell case.
