This 1961 Gibson Les Paul Special in Cherry finish reflects the slim double-cut design Gibson introduced at the start of the decade. It has undergone a number of repairs and maintenance, including a refret, replacement nut, new tuners. A heel crack has also been repaired, providing stability while preserving the guitar’s playability and a previous strap button hole in the back has been doweled. Otherwise, it has typical wear and tear of a guitar this age. With its twin P-90 pickups and straightforward layout, it remains a strong example of Gibson’s early ’60s solidbody work.
Includes early 50s Lifton hard shell case.
