The Fender Princeton has quickly become the preferred size and wattage for many Nashville guitar players. The brown-era non-reverb model has even been immortalized with a reissue, thanks to Chris Stapleton, who has called it his all-time favorite live amp. This particular example has been further enhanced with a 12" baffle and fitted with a fantastic-sounding 1950s Jensen P12N—a winning combination indeed.
This amp is in very good condition, showing only minor signs of previous wear. The tube chart has mostly disintegrated, though a small portion remains. Internally, the power cord, bias cap, and bias resistor have been replaced, but otherwise it’s all original—including the famed “blue molded” Ajax coupling capacitors that define the classic ’60s Fender sound. The result is one of the best-sounding 6G2 Princetons we’ve ever heard.Despite being fully functional the buyer should note this amp has long expired electrolytic capacitors. Should someone need prolonged or gigging use from this piece then servicing would be advised.
