This is a rare Wide Panel Tweed Princeton, from 1953. You see quite a bit more champs in comparison, and this is certainly similar, but with the added versatility of a tone control. It's hard not to look at this amp and see the stripped lacquer look as pure charm! While certainly not a collector grade piece, it should appeal to players, as it has a great sound to match the worn look. While the original output transformer has been swapped for a Mojotone NOS771, which does great justice to the original. The Alnico Jensen is also a perfect period appropriate replacement, from '59. Internally, the power cord, power resistors and electrolytic caps have been changed, along with the original wax coupling caps. Otherwise, all of the original tone control caps and preamp resistors are original.
