The tweed covering is in great condition for it's age. This amp is like many from the era, having been converted from Octal to a 9-pin preamp tube at the Fender factory. Being that the circuit is a 5C2 (intended for a 6SC7 tube) this makes for an interesting transition-era hybrid as far as circuits go. A 5751 tube has been used, as it is the closest 9-pin equivalent to the 6SC7 - though some conversion would need to be done before a traditional 12AX7 could be used. All electrolytic caps have been replaced, along with the power cord, and 2 power resistors. Otherwise the circuit is completely original.
