This extremely rare piece of Fender history has survived over the years through various restorations done along the way. The cabinet has been recovered, and the grillcloth has been changed as well. Electronically it's had the filter caps replaced, along with the original coupling caps. The original Triad PT is still in tact, but the dual output transformers have been replaced with Mercury Magnetics.

***It should be noted this is a very primitive amp design, and the features might come across different than later Fender models people are used to. For instance, the tone circuit is wired in a way that it actually cuts gain from the circuit when it's turned up all the way. The amp also has 6SJ7 octal preamp tubes, which are notorious for having microphonic issues. This amp is no exception, and although tube dampers were added they still exhibit those characteristics. They do not self-oscillate, but they do rattle a bit when the amp is turned up loud. Potential buyers should take all this into consideration before deciding to make the purchase.***

A neat feature regarding this amp's history is the business card glued to the bottom of the cabinet, from no other than Ray Massie. Along with Leo, Ray was responsible for many of the early Fender amplifier designs, most likely including the Dual Professional.
