The shiny look of this 1961 amp comes from the fact that it's been recovered, and the grillcloth has been changed. Someone decked it out in all new hardware as well. But don't let the clean visage fool you, because the sound it puts out is vintage snarl. The circuit is listed as "6G6" on the tube chart, but has since been changed to the more desirable "6G6-B" from later in '62. The electrolytic caps have been changed, along with all coupling caps. Some resistors have also been changed, for the sake of the mod. The transformers are all original.
