Description

A true player-grade special, this is a genuine 5F6-A Bassman housed in its original cabinet, which has been recovered. Despite it's subdued exterior, there's some serious horsepower under the hood, with a mostly original circuit and original Triad transformers, keeping the core of its legendary tone intact. The speakers are period-appropriate Jensen Concert Alnicos dating to 1955. The original tube chart is missing, with a blank space remaining where it was once affixed inside the cabinet.

Internally, the power cord has been replaced, along with one screen grid resistor and two coupling capacitors. Otherwise, the circuit remains original. Please see the internal photos for further details.

Despite being fully functional the buyer should note this amp has long expired filter capacitors, along with delicate 1950's speaker cones. While many amps are run this way for years without issue, anyone planning on prolonged or regular gigging use would be advised to have it serviced.
