This 1989 Martin Custom Jumbo 10th Anniversary Custom Shop is a truly distinctive instrument blending elements from across Martin’s catalog into something entirely its own. Built in the style of a J-40, instead featuring a striking three-piece back made from rosewood and figured maple, offering both tonal complexity and visual depth. The inlaid pearloid pickguard and custom fingerboard inlays set it apart immediately, adding a refined, almost ornate character without feeling overdone. It’s completely original and exceptionally well-preserved, a rare glimpse into the early years of Martin’s Custom Shop work. A unique piece with unmistakable custom charm.
