Numbered 154 out of just 274 guitars produced, this Martin HD-40 Tom Petty is a remarkable collector's piece. It remains in very good condition, showing moderate signs of wear, and includes a professionally added strap pin at the heel for improved comfort during stage performances. Set up with medium action, it offers excellent playability and delivers a rich, powerful, and balanced tone. The original tweed hardshell case is included.

The HD-40 Tom Petty Signature is an eye-catching instrument with pearl inlays throughout. Superb solid tonewoods add to the beauty of this guitar. The Italian Alpine Spruce top, prized for righ, powerful tone, is matched to carefully scalloped Sitka spruce braces. The back and sides are crafted from handsome East Indian Rosewood. The low profile neck is carved from genuine mahogany and boasts a satin finish, diamond volute, square tapere3d headstock with the antique Martine pressure stamp on the back and gold Schaller mini tuners with ebony buttons. The HD-40 Tom Petty Signature is equipped with factory installed Fishman Gold+Plus Natural II electronics to enable their owners to play both unplugged and amplified."
