With plenty of well-earned wear, this 1946 D-28 sounds as good as you'd expect! With a nice extra bit of bite and focus compared to earlier D-28s, this one has a powerful, commanding voice that's a natural fit for the hard-playing picker. The 1946 D-28 body was paired many years ago with a 1952/53 D-28 neck. With its maintenance work recently done, it's in fabulous playing condition. It's had a neck set, old refret, bridge reglue, plugged original maple bridge plate and a bone saddle. Also to note: two patches were done to the bass rim and a wide back crack was reglued and touched up. It's a survivor! Comes with a 1960s velvet-lined case.
