This 1969 Martin D-18 is a real, honest workhorse of a dreadnought.  Sitka spruce over mahogany back and sides, with a genuine Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and bridge, the last era before Martin made the switch to Indian rosewood. That soft V neck profile fills the hand without feeling like a club, and it's been properly sorted with a neck set, refret, and binding reglue, so it's set up to play the way a nearly sixty-year-old D-18 should rather than fighting you at every fret. New Schaller tuners keep it in tune reliably on stage or in the studio, a straightforward, sensible upgrade that doesn't take anything away from the guitar's vintage character. This is a genuinely great-sounding, well-maintained '69 D-18 that's been worked on right, not just patched up
