When it comes to acoustic guitars, few achieve the legendary status of an original pre-war Martin D-18. Revered as the workhorse of bluegrass music, the D-18 is a masterfully crafted instrument, celebrated for its warm tonewoods and understated elegance.

This particular example has undergone extensive professional repairs to preserve its playability for years to come. These include a prior neck reset, refret, fingerboard shim, and repairs to several back cracks. Additionally, it has been fully refinished and fitted with a new bridge, bridge plate, nut, bridge pins, and saddle.

The guitar features beautifully grained Adirondack spruce paired with forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing, delivering a tone that is articulate, resonant, and a flatpicker’s dream. It comes with a Harptone hardshell case for secure storage and transport.
*When using Affirm, we charge an additional 3.5% fee on the total at checkout. The majority of our instruments are consignment, where CVG keeps a small percentage of each sale. To be able to cover the additional costs required to offer financing, we have to include a higher fee to the customer. The 3.5% fee will be included in and spread across your Affirm payments.
